- Conduct routine and specialized inspections of bridges and related structures to assess their structural integrity and safety
- Utilize a variety of inspection methods, including visual assessments, non destructive testing, and instrumentation
- Document and record detailed findings during inspections, including any signs of deterioration, damage, or potential hazards
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports outlining the condition of the bridge and recommendations for maintenance or repairs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze inspection data and develop repair and maintenance plans
- Stay current on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to bridge inspection and structural engineering
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior inspectors or engineering staff
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate inspection activities
- Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other relevant parties to communicate findings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Proven experience in bridge inspection and structural assessment, with a minimum of 8 – 12 years in a similar role
- In depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as AASHTO, ASCE, and FHWA
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and equipment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed

- The Bridge Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of bridges, evaluating structural integrity, and providing detailed reports on the condition of bridges and related infrastructure.
Your role
- Conduct routine and specialized inspections of bridges and related structures to assess their structural integrity and safety.
