Role overview
Design and review structural elements for water and wastewater infrastructure treatment projects.
Work across the full design project life cycle under the supervision of senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design water-retaining structures, reservoirs, pump stations, pipeline structures, industrial building structures, treatment units, and associated structures.
- Perform structural analysis and prepare calculation reports and design calculations using Excel and in-house software.
- Interpret data from supporting interdisciplinary teams and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Apply safety-in-design practices throughout the work.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a structural design engineer.
- Water and wastewater design experience is preferred.
- Strong technical skills in concrete and steel structure design.
- Familiarity with international codes, including Eurocodes and American codes of practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
