Join the buildings team of a growing multidisciplinary consultancy providing civil and structural engineering, surveying and project management services across the UK.
The appointment may suit candidates from Senior Structural Engineer through to Associate level.
The role focuses on existing-building assessment, structural defect diagnosis, risk appraisal and practical remedial solutions.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, investigate and assess existing buildings and structures across varied construction types.
- Diagnose defects, deterioration and failures, establish root causes and assess structural risk.
- Assess masonry, timber, steel and reinforced concrete structures and develop repair or strengthening recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and remedial strategies.
- Review drawings, historical information, survey data and investigation findings.
- Liaise with clients, surveyors, architects, contractors and other professionals.
- Support remedial-scheme design and implementation through site visits and construction reviews.
- Manage project technical and commercial delivery, maintain client relationships, review technical work and mentor junior engineers.
