The Role
We are seeking a driven, technically sound Structural Engineer to join our growing structural team. In this role, your initial focus will be the structural design of building projects across various sectors. However, we are looking for an ambitious professional with the desire and capability to progress into running, managing, and leading projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be working with colleagues on different projects and learning new things pretty much straight away. To get a good understanding of how structures work and how buildings are put together and you will be looking at things like how loads are transmitted and resisted, and how different materials are used. You’ll be using software to model and design structural elements and then carry out some hand checks to verify your answers.
- We work on a lot of different types of buildings, so you will be working on a real mixture of things; old and new, big and small and covering pretty much every sector.
- We like to keep people involved in projects from start to finish, so you will get to see how design progresses from concept through to detail and onto construction. You get to see your designs come to life, piece by piece and step by step.
