Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer provides technical design for a wide range of projects and services in Stantec’s Buildings structural engineering group.

The Engineer performs the technical design, execution, and delivery of projects in collaboration with a Project Engineer or Project Principal.

Role will execute and ensure quality throughout the design process to meet our clients’ needs and expectations.

• Develops and helps advance the structural analysis, design, documentation, and construction administration of building projects. For smaller projects and for certain activities the work may be self-performed.
• Participates in virtual and in-person project meetings, workshops, in-person site observations, and other similar activities in support of Stantec’s project delivery.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; conducts project reviews and approvals before all QA/QC reviews done by the technical authority.
• Coordinates well with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design.
• Engages with mentors for advancing technical skills, developing project management and people skills, and executing at a high level which meets or exceeds Stantec standards.
