Role Overview
Mid-level Structural Engineer role based in Kingston, Ontario, within a hybrid work model requiring at least 60% on-site presence.
The position focuses on structural analysis and design of building systems across commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
Project delivery spans conceptual design through construction, including documentation, coordination, regulatory engagement, and construction review.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals, support project scoping, and contribute to cost estimation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on engagement and approvals.
- Perform structural analysis and prepare calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
- Lead structural design activities and support scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Review and validate engineering deliverables prepared by project team members.
- Develop construction drawings, tender documentation, permit applications, and related design documents.
- Provide technical advisory services through project execution and closeout.
- Perform site inspections and construction reviews for compliance with design intent and project requirements.
- Prepare reports, specifications, technical memoranda, and project documentation.
