Job Summary
Design, analyze, and review load-bearing structures for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Conduct structural condition surveys and prepare assessment reports for existing buildings, modifications, and remediation.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate load capacities, stress limits, and structural stability for concrete and steel structures.
- Inspect existing buildings in Al Ain to evaluate structural integrity, defects, degradation, and load-carrying capability.
- Prepare structural assessment reports with findings, risk evaluations, and recommendations for repairs, retrofitting, or modifications.
- Produce and review structural drawings, reinforcement layouts, and fabrication models using CAD and BIM tools.
- Ensure compliance with Al Ain Municipality guidelines, UAE Fire and Life Safety codes, and ACI, BS, and Eurocodes.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve constructability issues and structural conflicts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Four to eight years of structural engineering experience in the UAE or GCC.
- Membership in the UAE Society of Engineers and registration or eligibility with local municipal authorities.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or ROBOT.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Structure, with experience in technical reports and structural repair strategies.
- Understanding of UAE materials, environmental factors, and structural standards.
- Professional fluency in English; Arabic fluency is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
- The posting lists a salary of AED 4,000 to AED 6,000 per month.
