Role Overview
Structural Design Engineer responsible for designing and checking pre-engineered building structures and related steel components.
The role supports safe, economical, fabrication-ready structural solutions and coordinates with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural designs and engineering calculations for PEB structures.
- Analyze and design primary and secondary steel members, including columns, rafters, beams, bracings, purlins, and girts.
- Prepare and review design calculations, structural drawings, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, shop drawings, and connection details.
- Perform dead, live, wind, seismic, crane, and other applicable load calculations.
- Design and check bolted and welded connections.
- Coordinate with drafting, estimation, fabrication, project execution, clients, and consultants.
- Review design changes, incorporate revisions, and prepare technical documents and reports.
- Support the project team during fabrication and site execution when required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PEB structural design and steel structures.
- Good understanding of IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, and other relevant structural codes.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, Tekla, MBS, or equivalent PEB design software.
