Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of steel plunge pools
- Design and verify lifting points for transportation and installation
- Calculate total pool weight, center of gravity (COG), and lifting loads
- Perform structural calculations for transportation, handling, and installation conditions
- Analyze hydrostatic water pressure on steel structures and acrylic panels
- Design and verify acrylic window thickness and structural performance under water pressure
- Evaluate steel members for bending, deflection, stress, and stability
- Prepare structural calculation reports and engineering documentation
- Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure practical and manufacturable designs
- Review and optimize existing designs for safety, efficiency, and cost reduction
Requirements
- 5 10 years of experience in structural design engineering, preferably for swimming pools or similar structures
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design of steel structures
- Experience with GRP composite construction and acrylic viewing panels
- Ability to perform hydrostatic pressure analysis and lifting point design
- Strong knowledge of engineering documentation and structural calculation reports
- Experience coordinating with production and fabrication teams
