Structural / Civil Engineer

To execute Detailed Engineering works with respect to Structural and Civil Engineering.

To provide specific technical support service to ensure company s business objectives and clients requirements are met with.

Primary Purpose of the Job and Anticipated Deliverables

Execute Detailed Engineering services related to Structural and Civil disciplines; assign to and supervise works of the team of Structural and Civil Draftsmen; monitor performance of Engineering Consultants; ensure quality of engineering documents; support Project Engineering Team; support Proposal Team with technical evaluations.

As required, generate Technical Queries and Engineering Deviation Requests to support the assigned scope.

It is preferable that the candidates have the following capabilities:

Experience in the execution of Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPIC projects; performing pre-award FEED endorsement.

Experience in the execution of Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery, and Civil Infrastructure Projects.

Experience in both Offshore and Onshore fields.

Familiarity in the preparation of Structural and Civil Engineering procedures.

Good knowledge of HSE, Quality, and International Codes & Standards, including Shell DEPs, for implementation in Structural / Civil design.

High degree of proficiency in the use of Structural Analysis and Design Software: STAAD.Pro; Offshore Structural Analysis and Design Software: SACS; and MS Office packages Excel, Word, Power Point..

Experience in the preparation of Detailed Engineering deliverables related to Offshore Structures, including: G.A. and Details of Offshore Structural Platforms and Wellhead Jackets; Structural Fabrication Drawings; Structural Design and Structural Adequacy Calculations; Lifting and Stacking Studies; Load-Out Procedure.

Experience in the preparation of Detailed Engineering deliverables related to Civil discipline, such as: Overall Site Plan and Plot Details; Site Development Plan and Area Statement; Site Grading and Levelling Plan; Civil G.A. Drawings; G.A. Drawings and Details of Buildings (Floor and Roof Plans and Details, Elevations and Sections, Architectural Details); G.A. Drawings and Details of RCC Tanks, Pits and Sumps; G.A. Drawings and Details of Pipe Supports, Racks and Sleepers; Foundation (Equipment, Storage Tanks, Pipe Supports) Drawings; Layout of Road and Road Markings; Drainage System Network and Details; G.A. and Details of Paving; Civil Design Calculations; Civil Bill of Materials; Specifications; Civil Scope of Work Documents; Scope of Work for Topographic Survey, Underground Services Survey and Geo-technical Investigation Study; As-built Drawings.

Experience in the preparation of Scope Matrix for Engineering Consultants; review of Structural / Civil Engineering deliverables prepared by Engineering Consultants for ensuring compliance with project, HSE, Quality and Code requirements.

Experience in pre-bid Engineering, technical support to Proposal Team.

Experience in the preparation of Scope of Work documents for ECS and EPIC Projects.

Good knowledge of Structural / Civil materials of construction.

Good exposure to Fabrication and Construction activities related to Structural and Civil.

Good interpersonal relationship capabilities and communication (oral and written).

Leadership capabilities, team work and ability to coach, guide and motivate subordinates on the job.

Degree or equivalent in Structural and Civil Engineering.

Primary experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery sectors, including onshore and offshore.

Familiar with Oil and Gas safety requirements.

Overall experience of about six (6) to eight (8) years.

At least 2 years Middle East experience.
