Responsibilities
- Conduct a detailed site inspection of the property
- Assess the condition of foundations, columns, beams, slabs, roof structures, retaining walls, and structural modifications
- Review and verify existing as built drawings against site conditions
- Evaluate the recently completed second floor extension
- Assess the feasibility of proposed demolition, reconstruction, and future extension works
- Provide strengthening, rehabilitation, and stabilization recommendations
- Prepare a professional structural assessment report with clear engineering conclusions and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in structural assessment of existing buildings
- Experience evaluating reinforced concrete structures, extensions, retrofits, and rehabilitation projects
- Ability to conduct on site inspections in Riyadh
- Experience preparing professional structural assessment reports and engineering recommendations
- Familiarity with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, or equivalent
- Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred

Project Overview
- AR Enceladus Ltd. is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer or Structural Engineering Consultant to support a residential structural assessment and future development feasibility study for an existing duplex property in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- The assignment involves assessment of a 40+ year old reinforced concrete residential property, review and verification of existing documentation, evaluation of existing and proposed second floor works, and preparation of professional engineering recommendations.
Project Scope
- Conducting a detailed site inspection of the property.
- Assessing the condition of foundations, columns, beams, slabs, roof structures, retaining walls (if applicable), and structural modifications made over the years.
- Reviewing and verifying existing as built drawings against site conditions.
- Updating and correcting structural documentation where required.
- Evaluating the recently completed second floor extension.
- Assessing the feasibility of proposed demolition, reconstruction, and future extension works.
- Reviewing structural adequacy, stability, serviceability, and associated risks.
- Providing strengthening, rehabilitation, and stabilization recommendations where necessary.
- Advising on any required structural investigations or testing.
- Preparing a professional structural assessment report with clear engineering conclusions and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience in structural assessment of existing buildings.
- Experience evaluating reinforced concrete structures, extensions, retrofits, and rehabilitation projects.
