RBC WII Business Technology is seeking a strategically minded and collaborative leader to drive transformation and strategic optimization across global Insurance, Investor Services, and Wealth Management Europe businesses.
The role translates enterprise strategy into initiatives that engage technology leaders and business stakeholders across approximately 1,800 global team members.
The position influences senior technical leadership and modernizes the technology operating landscape across complex business units.
Strategic Vision and Influence
- Translate complex IT strategy into integrated, business-aligned programs with clear value propositions.
- Influence senior technical leaders and business stakeholders toward strategic optimization and efficiency priorities.
- Champion strategic thinking and collaborative problem-solving across the technology organization.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strategic relationships with business partners across Wealth Management Europe, Insurance, and Investor Services.
- Facilitate collaboration between business and technology teams to support seamless execution.
- Communicate program value, progress, and strategic impact to executive audiences.
Program Delivery and Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT strategic initiatives, including digital transformation, cloud and data platform adoption, and data modernization.
- Establish governance models, steering committees, and executive reporting mechanisms to track progress, risks, and benefits realization.
- Manage implementation to achieve quality standards, timelines, and business outcomes.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
- Plan, monitor, and measure program development using strategic measures and KPIs.
- Track financial performance and strategic impact, providing transparent reporting to senior leadership.
- Anticipate and resolve challenges through mitigation, escalation, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services and success leading complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence senior technical and business leaders around strategic priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Mastery of PRINCE2, PMBoK, or equivalent program and project management frameworks.
- Analytical approach using metrics and KPIs, plus an engineering or optimization mindset.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
- Change management, organizational development, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with digital transformation, cloud adoption, data modernization, or technology modernization programs.
- Experience in matrix organizations or with C-suite and senior executive audiences.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or emerging technology adoption initiatives.
