Strategy Professional

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Strategy Professional in New York City to help shape the future of our business in the United States and Canada. You will lead consulting-style strategy and business transformation projects, evaluate market and portfolio opportunities, develop business cases, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership.

This is a hybrid position based in New York City. Travel ranges from 5% to 30%, depending on project assignments. Relocation assistance is not available. Some assignments may require extended working hours around critical deadlines.

You’ll make an impact by

• Leading consulting-style strategy and business transformation projects that move priorities from analysis to action.

• Analyzing customers, competitors, markets, technologies, public policy, and portfolio opportunities across the North American rail and transit sector.

• Structuring ambiguous business problems and developing clear recommendations for regional and senior leadership.

• Developing business cases and financial models that inform offering development, investment priorities, and long-term growth decisions.

• Preparing executive presentations, briefings, and written analyses with clear, decision-ready narratives.

• Collaborating with engineering, product management, finance, sales, communications, government affairs, and global strategy colleagues to build alignment without formal authority.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience conducting rigorous analysis of complex business problems.
  • Professional experience in the rail transportation industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a similar field.
  • Experience structuring ambiguous problems and producing clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and written analyses, including advanced PowerPoint work with Efficient Elements and/or think-cell.
  • Experience developing financial models in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and business teams and building stakeholder alignment without formal authority.
  • Experience using AI tools in professional workflows.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management consulting experience.
  • Experience on an in-house strategy or business transformation team.
  • Experience developing business cases.
  • Knowledge of the North American rail and transit sector.
