The Enterprise Strategy Analyst is the analytical engine behind GuideWell’s in-house strategy engagements.
Working as part of a small team on discrete, time-bound projects, the Analyst builds the models, market analyses, and research that support a workstream, and turns internal and external data into clean, decision-ready deliverables — slides, memos, and data cuts — under the direction of an engagement lead.
This is an entry-level role and the first rung of the Enterprise Strategy career ladder: the priority is to do accurate, high-quality work while learning the core consulting toolkit — problem structuring, analytics, and storylining — and the fundamentals of how a health plan operates.
As they grow, strong Analysts take on more ownership of their workstreams and advance toward Senior Analyst and Associate roles.
GuideWell is building an in-house Enterprise Strategy team — a strategy and internal-consulting group that works on the company’s most important questions — and we are hiring Analysts to help form its foundation.
As an Analyst, you are the analytical engine of the team: you build the models, market analyses, and research behind our recommendations, and you turn data into clean, decision-ready slides, memos, and analyses that reach senior leaders.
It is a rare early-career seat — consulting-caliber problem-solving and a close-up view of a Fortune 500 health company, without the constant travel.
This is an entry-level role built for someone at the start of their career.
You do not need years of experience — you need to be sharp, curious, careful with detail, and hungry to learn.
We will teach you the rest: how to structure a problem, how to run the analysis, and how to tell a clear story with what you find.
What makes GuideWell different:
- A not-for-profit, mission-driven company — one of the nation’s largest health insurers and a Fortune 500 organization — whose purpose is helping people and communities achieve better health.
- Core Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans in Florida (Florida Blue) and Puerto Rico (Triple-S), with deep ties to government-sponsored health care and the members who rely on it.
- A diversified portfolio that reaches well beyond insurance — including GuideWell Health care delivery (Sanitas Medical Centers, GuideWell Emergency Doctors, and Florida Health Care Plans), GuideWell Source, WebTPA, and Lucet — serving tens of millions of people across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- A policyholder-owned, long-term orientation and a strong balance sheet that let us invest in health-care-defining capabilities rather than chase quarterly results.
- Deep community trust and a genuine focus on impact in everything we do.
Why start your career on this team:
- Learn faster than almost anywhere else — consulting-caliber training in problem-solving, analytics, and communication, with a senior teammate coaching your work on every engagement.
- Do real work that matters from day one — your analysis feeds recommendations that reach senior leaders and, at times, the Board, on problems that affect millions of members.
- Know exactly how to grow — clear, published levels and a competency model show what “great” looks like and how promotion works, from Analyst to Senior Analyst to Associate and beyond.
- Build a foundation, not a dead end — grow a full career in strategy, or, once you have built the toolkit, use the team as a launchpad into a role in the business, carrying your skills and network with you.
- Get the challenge and variety of consulting inside a mission-driven company, without the lifestyle cost of constant travel.
If you are early in your career, want your work to matter, and like the idea of learning to think like a strategist while helping people achieve better health, we would like to meet you.
Key Requirements
Build the Analysis Behind the Recommendation
- Build the financial models, market analyses, and quantitative research that support an assigned workstream.
- Gather and synthesize internal and external data — company data, market and competitor information, and published research — into a clear, well-organized fact base.
- Run defined analyses accurately and check your own work, surfacing assumptions, gaps, and anything that looks off.
Produce Clean, Decision-Ready Deliverables
- Produce clear, error-free slides, memos, and data cuts under the direction of an engagement lead.
- Turn analysis into simple, well-structured exhibits that make the “so what” easy to see.
- Incorporate feedback quickly, and keep files, versions, and source data organized and easy to follow.
Learn the Core Toolkit and Health Care Fundamentals
- Learn and apply the team’s core toolkit: problem structuring, analytics, and storylining.
- Build a working understanding of how a health plan works — its products, members, and core economics.
- Seek out coaching, act on feedback, and steadily take on more of a workstream as your skills grow.
Manage Your Own Work and Support the Team
- Manage your own tasks, priorities, and deadlines, and flag progress and blockers early.
- Be a reliable, responsive teammate who earns the trust of the engagement team.
- Contribute to team culture, and share reusable analysis, templates, and tools that make the whole team better.
Collaborate Across the Business to Get the Facts Right
- Work with business-unit subject-matter experts and data owners to source information and sanity-check findings.
- Help the engagement team prepare for stakeholder discussions and working sessions.
- Represent the Enterprise Strategy team professionally in day-to-day interactions across GuideWell.
Qualifications

- No prior full-time experience required — this is an entry-level, campus-hire role.

- Genuine curiosity about health care and about how organizations make strategic decisions.
- The ability to manage your time, juggle multiple priorities, and ask for help when you need it.
- A collaborative, low-ego, reliable approach, and a real appetite for feedback and learning.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and picking up new tools and methods quickly.
