Position Summary

The Storekeeper receives, stages, stores, inspects, and distributes merchandise and supplies within the facility.

The position is full time and non-management.

Storekeeping Duties

  • Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark it for placement, and deliver it to the appropriate department.
  • Stack merchandise on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
  • Notify the manager or supervisor of low stock levels.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, quality, and correct dates.
  • Refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect deliveries.
  • Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place them in proper storage areas.

Work Requirements

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • No related work experience is required or preferred in the source.
  • No supervisory experience is required or preferred in the source.
  • The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and navigating confined, uneven, slippery, or elevated areas.

Qualifications and Conduct

  • Follow food safety, handling, quality assurance, and company policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information and company assets.
  • Use clear, appropriate, and professional language with guests and coworkers and support team goals.
