**Job Title:** Storekeeper**Department:** Store / Warehouse / Site Logistics**Reports To:** Site Manager / Project Manager / Procurement Manager**Job Summary**
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing all materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the construction site.
The role includes receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of site inventory to ensure smooth project operations and avoid material shortages or wastage.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive construction materials, tools, and equipment delivered to site
- Check quantity and quality of materials against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Maintain proper storage and stacking of materials to prevent damage or loss
- Issue materials to site supervisors and workers as per approved requests
- Maintain accurate stock records, inward/outward registers, and inventory reports
- Monitor stock levels and inform management about shortages or reorder requirements
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and inventory audits
- Coordinate with procurement and site engineers regarding material requirements
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of all stored items
- Keep the store area clean, organized, and safe
- Monitor usage of consumables and prevent material wastage
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued to workers/subcontractors
- Follow company safety procedures and site regulations
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Inventory and stock control management
- Record keeping and documentation skills
- Basic computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure on construction sites
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as Storekeeper in construction projects
- UAE/GCC construction experience preferred
- Familiarity with construction site procedures and materials
- ⚙ Working Conditions
- Work location: Construction site / warehouse
- May require lifting and handling heavy materials
- Outdoor and site-based working environment
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge of material inspection procedures
- Experience with inventory software/ERP systems
- Ability to prepare stock and material consumption reports
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
