Position Overview
Supports administrative functions of store operations, cash-room activities, and store-level pricing integrity.
Reports to the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager.
Store Systems
- Maintain point-of-sale systems, operational software, communication networks, and other store hardware.
- Clean and maintain equipment, including magnetic stripe reader hardware.
- Perform regular system backups according to established procedures and schedules.
- Act as the primary store contact for IT problem reporting, resolution, and systems and software deployment.
- Maintain problem incident report logs.
- Print and place in-store signage and maintain pricing throughout the store.
Store Operations
- Maintain store funds, including cash, stamps, gift cards, coupons, and other assets.
- Count store funds and prepare bank deposits.
- Administer point-of-sale charity fundraising programs.
- Administer point-of-sale functions such as manager override numbers.
- Administer transit passes, lottery tickets, and other programs assigned by store management or head office.
