The Store Assistant / Specialist supports inventory management, receiving, storage, stock issuance, reconciliation, documentation, and store operations.

Core store operations
- Receive and inspect goods, materials, equipment, supplies, and other inventory.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and approved documentation.
- Record receipts in ERP, inventory, or warehouse-management systems and prepare Goods Received Notes.
- Organize, label, categorize, and store inventory in designated locations.
- Issue materials and supplies against authorized requisitions and record stock movements.
- Conduct cycle counts, physical counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
Planning and fulfillment
- Monitor stock levels, reorder points, expiry dates, batch numbers, serial numbers, and product conditions.
- Support replenishment, inventory forecasting, stock planning, and stockout prevention.
- Prepare items for internal distribution, customer delivery, projects, and dispatch.
- Process returns, damaged goods, replacements, warranty inventory, and stock transfers.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, suppliers, and internal departments on deliveries and outstanding orders.
Safety and security
- Maintain organized storage areas and apply housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Keep aisles, racks, emergency exits, and access points clear.
- Follow requirements for manual handling, lifting, hazardous materials, equipment operation, health, safety, environmental, and fire protection.
- Maintain inventory security and access controls and report theft, loss, fraud, or unauthorized movements.
Systems and improvement
- Use ERP, WMS, inventory software, barcode scanners, RFID, and digital stock-control systems.
- Maintain current inventory registers, databases, transaction records, reports, and audit documentation.
- Support inventory audits and identify improvements to storage layouts, picking processes, stock identification, and inventory accuracy.
Candidate profile
- Previous experience in storekeeping, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, retail, or a related field is required.
- Strong inventory, documentation, organizational, numerical, communication, and coordination skills are required.
- Experience with ERP, inventory-management, or warehouse-management systems and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Understanding of FIFO/FEFO principles, procurement documentation, receiving processes, and workplace safety is required.
- Familiarity with barcode scanners, RFID, inventory software, or digital stock-control systems is advantageous.
- A relevant supply chain, logistics, inventory, business administration, or operations qualification is advantageous.
- Relevant warehouse, inventory, logistics, or storekeeping certifications are advantageous.
- UAE or wider GCC supply-chain and logistics experience is highly desirable.
Performance measures
Performance is measured through inventory accuracy, stock-count accuracy, receiving and fulfillment accuracy, turnaround times, stockouts, excess and obsolete inventory, shrinkage, reconciliation, housekeeping, safety, and audit results.
