Description
The Store Assistant Manager will assist in supervising and training all retail store and production personnel, clients, trainees, and volunteers; and will check the quality and quantity of finished products to ensure production standards and quotas are met. Responsible for ensuring the retail production needs are met through effective leadership and planning within budgeted time constraints. Assist in ensuring maximum sales performance through proper stock rotation, display, signage, and inventory levels. Assisting in the appropriate operation of store security and safety systems, including but not limited to door, locks, alarms, office door, band deposits, refunds, safe, incident reports, and fire extinguishers.

Requirements
- EDUCATION AND
- EXPERIENCE:
- REQUIRED: Any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the job.
- PREFERRED:
- · Some experience in resale business or retail setting.
- · Associate or bachelor’s degree.
- KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- REQUIRED:
- · Excellent listening skills.
- · Ability to work with others to achieve a shared goal.
- · Ability to work within established guidelines.
- · Knowledge of books and a love of reading.
- · Basic computer skills.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires standing and walking and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, and reaching with hands and arms. Requires frequent lifting and moving of light items, up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds. May be required to stand for entire shift.
- MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Requires energetic, team-oriented individual with a positive “can-do” attitude and an ability to understand, accept and work with people who have disabilities and/or other barriers to employment.

- WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Mix of production and retail environments. Usually fast-paced.
- OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and appearance at all times. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be willing to occasionally work evenings, weekends, extended hours and holidays. Must pass a background check.
