Role Overview
The role is fully remote and full-time.
The Stock Control Manager leads stock accuracy, stock movement controls, inventory reconciliation, counting programs, warehouse integrity, and continuous improvement.
The role covers warehouses, distribution centers, stores, and other stock locations.
Stock Control Responsibilities
- Develop stock-control strategies, policies, procedures, operational standards, and accuracy targets.
- Monitor physical stock against ERP, WMS, and inventory-management systems.
- Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, spot checks, and risk-based counting schedules.
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Control adjustments, write-offs, damages, losses, transfers, and unidentified inventory.
- Ensure accurate receiving, put-away, storage, picking, transfer, and dispatch transactions.
- Maintain SKU, batch, lot, serial, location, and stock-status records.
- Apply FIFO, FEFO, and other required stock-rotation methods.
- Monitor unusual or unauthorized movements and maintain transfer controls.
- Review aging, excess, obsolete, at-risk, high-value, sensitive, regulated, and restricted stock.
- Coordinate reconciliations, valuations, reserves, write-offs, and count activities with Finance.
- Partner with IT on ERP, WMS, barcode, RFID, and stock-management improvements.
