Stock Control Assistant / Specialist

Inventory Movement and Availability

• Monitor transfers, inventory in transit, stock levels, reorder points, minimum and maximum levels, and safety stock.
• Identify stockouts, excess, slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, expired, and aging stock.
• Coordinate stock availability, allocation, replenishment, and shortage resolution with operational teams.
• Verify received, picked, dispatched, delivered, returned, and transferred quantities.

Data and Systems

• Maintain SKU, location, unit-of-measure, barcode, batch, serial-number, expiry, and inventory master data where applicable.
• Use ERP, WMS, barcode scanners, handheld devices, RFID systems, and related stock-control technologies where applicable.
• Support WMS, ERP, barcode, RFID, and automated stock-control system improvements.
• Support FIFO and FEFO procedures where required.

Reporting and Controls

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock-control reports, dashboards, exception reports, and inventory-aging analysis.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, stock variance, shrinkage, adjustments, stockouts, availability, transfers, receipts, dispatches, returns, and audit compliance.
• Support internal and external audits and provide stock records, count documentation, and adjustment approvals.
• Support inventory-value reconciliation with Finance, provisions, write-offs, disposals, and required approvals.

Collaboration and Improvement

• Coordinate with Warehouse, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
• Communicate stock risks and discrepancies clearly and promptly.
• Support improvement projects, reconciliation automation, counting, reporting, exception management, procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
• Support peak-season, promotional, product-launch, and high-volume stock-control activities.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with cycle counting, physical stocktaking, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation.
• Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory-management systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, integrity, and accountability.
• Familiarity with FIFO, FEFO, batch or serial tracking, barcode or RFID devices, analytical tools, inventory valuation, and relevant qualifications is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote environment.
• UAE or wider GCC supply-chain and distribution experience is highly desirable.
