Stewarding Supervisor

Position Overview

Stewarding and Kitchen Support

• Monitor and document water temperature and chemical levels used for cleaning.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups, support cooks and kitchen staff, and provide needed kitchen items.
• Transport supplies for banquet and buffet operations, maintain adequate stock, and return cleaned items to proper locations.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

Team and Guest Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and address guest requests according to company standards.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.

Safety and Standards

• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents, injuries, maintenance needs, and unsafe conditions.
• Complete safety training and certifications and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, and preserve confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and reach overhead or below the knees while bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
