About the Role
Al Dhannah Golf Club seeks a Starter Marshall to manage the 1st tee and monitor pace of play on the golf course. The role requires excellent customer service, knowledge of golf rules, and previous Starter/Marshall experience.

Responsibilities
- Ensure a smooth 1st tee and playing experience for all golfers
- Monitor the pace of play on the course and take proactive action to ensure groups do not unduly hold up play
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all golf course areas
- Be proactive in ensuring the presentation of the golf course is to the required standard throughout the day
- Communicate effectively with the golf course maintenance team regarding any course abnormalities
- Ensure that the golfers follow the club rules relating to play on the course
- Proactively encourage golfers to follow the rules of golf and etiquette on the course
- Approach any person on the golf course who does not have the right to be there and escort them into the clubhouse or off the premises
- Stay in regular communication with the golf operations team to ensure the smooth running of the golf operation
- Proactively approach golfers and help if required
Requirements
- Previous Starter / Marshall experience is required
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of golf terminology and familiarity with golf course operations
- Understanding of the Rules of Golf, golf handicapping systems and golf tournament formats
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including early mornings, days, weekends, and Holidays
- Ability to work in a team environment

Purpose of Position
- Starter Marshall will play a key role in on course customer experience.
- They will be present at the 1st tee to meet & greet all golfers prior to playing.
- They will also circulate the golf course to assist guests during play to ensure a smooth experience and pace of play.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Good communication and customer service skills, with an ability to provide friendly and efficient service to guests.
- Knowledge of golf terminology and familiarity with golf course operations is Required.
- Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating reliability and a commitment to the club's standards of service.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including early mornings, days, weekends, and Holidays.
