Role Overview
The role seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test with 8+ years of experience and a recent focus on mobile application testing.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on test automation architecture and quality strategy for mobile products.
Required Expertise
- Candidates need 8+ years of software testing experience with significant Android and/or iOS testing experience.
- Hands-on Appium or equivalent automation experience, SDET framework development, and mobile non-functional testing expertise are required.
- Experience with mobile profiling tools, mobile architecture, REST or GraphQL APIs, CI/CD, programming, Git, analysis, debugging, and cross-functional communication is required.
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud device farms, mobile security testing, accessibility testing, ISTQB certification, QA team leadership, or generative AI testing is advantageous.
Scope of Influence
- Design and maintain Appium automation frameworks for Android and iOS applications.
- Own functional and non-functional mobile test strategy, including performance, stress, stability, endurance, profiling, network, compatibility, and security testing.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD, analyze failures, report quality metrics, evaluate tools, and mentor junior QA engineers or SDETs.
