Role Overview

Join the Product & Technology Operations team as a Staff Technical Program Manager owning the Product Development Lifecycle execution model.

Build a shared model for how work moves from idea to impact across Product, Engineering, and Design.

This is a founding role responsible for defining the function, aligning stakeholders, and proving the model's value.

Execution Model

  • Design a PDLC framework that works across Product, Engineering, Design, and all company products.
  • Define artifacts, checkpoints, exit criteria, and standards for each PDLC stage.

Measurement and Adoption

  • Establish trusted metrics showing how work flows, where it is blocked, and where bottlenecks occur.
  • Partner with leaders across verticals to align on the model and earn genuine adoption.
  • Resolve differences across business units without forcing consistency where it does not fit.

AI-First PDLC

  • Define what humans and AI agents own at each PDLC stage, keeping judgment, accountability, and irreversible or customer-facing work with humans.
  • Partner with Engineering on AI-agent pilots and measure their impact on delivery speed and return on investment.

Evolution and Reporting

  • Review and adjust the framework based on what is working in practice.
  • Report program health and progress to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience designing or significantly evolving a delivery framework, execution model, or program management system.
  • Experience leading cross-functional organizations through operational change and achieving genuine adoption.
  • Experience building measurement systems from ambiguous or inconsistent data.
  • Experience partnering with Engineering on applied AI or automation and measuring delivery impact.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Comfort operating with significant ambiguity and independently structuring a path forward.
  • Fluency in English as a working language is required.

Benefits and Culture

  • Flexible work environment, flexible paid time off, and remote work policies.
  • Equity options, pension contributions, training opportunities, health and wellness credit, and enhanced parental leave.
  • Lightspeed promotes an inclusive and barrier-free workplace.
