What you’ll do

• Identify, scope, and ship changes that improve business metrics across mobile, web, services, and data layers.
• Architect durable production systems with strong performance, reliability, scalability, offline behavior, and consistency.
• Lead technical design reviews across teams, weighing code, product, delivery, and operational trade-offs.
• Drive operational maturity through release management, observability, incident response, and performance monitoring, including in mobile applications.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering leaders to shape priorities, scope, and delivery order.
• Set the technical bar by prototyping solutions, proving patterns, and teaching them to others.
• Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to engineers, product partners, and senior stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• Ten or more years of software experience, with significant time still spent hands-on in code and a record of shipping product-impacting work end to end.
• Deep experience in the mobile app ecosystem with iOS and/or Android, including strong fluency in Swift and/or Kotlin and related mobile capabilities.
• Serious experience in at least one additional area such as web frontend, backend services, data or infrastructure, or platform tooling.
• Strong product judgment, including the ability to decide what not to build and defend decisions with evidence.
• Comfort troubleshooting production systems across stacks, including crash analysis, latency tracing, and release-health debugging.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and the ability to improve the effectiveness of colleagues.

Nice to have

• Background in marketplaces, bookings, or other transactional consumer products.
• Experience with experimentation, analytics instrumentation, or ML-adjacent work.
