Role Overview
Capital One Canada is seeking a Staff Software Engineer specializing in iOS development.
The role requires advanced hands-on development, technical design, and architecture and does not have direct reports.
The software studio builds cloud-based products using open source, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containers.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs with senior engineers and architects.
- Work with a mobile team throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Improve software engineering practices within agile teams.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across development tools and technologies.
- Contribute expertise on the effect of evolving technology on the domain.
- Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile associates.
Basic Qualifications
- At least six years of hands-on native iOS application development using Swift and SwiftUI.
- At least six years of application design, technical architecture and development experience.
- Experience leading and mentoring junior, intermediate, and senior associates and providing guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
