About the Role
Capital One Canada is hiring a Staff Software Engineer focused on iOS development.
The role requires advanced hands-on development, technical design, and architecture and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs with senior engineers and architects.
- Work with a mobile team throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across the development stack.
- Improve software engineering practices within agile teams.
- Provide technical expertise on how evolving technology affects the domain.
- Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile associates.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years of hands-on native iOS application development using Swift and SwiftUI.
- At least 6 years of application design, technical architecture and design, and development experience.
- Experience leading and mentoring mobile associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's, master's, or diploma in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
