What we're looking for
Strong TypeScript, and you argue for statically typed languages on their merits
Deep Node.js ecosystem knowledge (node, npm, yarn), including bundling and dependency management (Bun a plus)
Proficient with AI tooling, including shipping code via CLI or editor-based LLM agents and using MCP servers
Solid grasp of the React paradigm (one-way data binding, declarative programming, rules of hooks, common anti-patterns)
Practical software engineering principles and complexity management (separation of concerns, design patterns, domain-driven design), and a bias towards clean, simple code
Familiarity with container-based cloud-native applications and patterns such as REST APIs, message passing, horizontal and vertical scaling, and load balancing
Awareness of web security concerns (SQL injection, XSS, CORS, cookies, authentication and authorisation)
