Position Details
Extreme Networks is seeking a Staff Software Systems Engineer for its engineering organization.
The position is full time and is listed for Salem, New Hampshire or Raleigh, North Carolina.
The role reports to the Senior Manager of Applications Engineering and remains open until filled.
What We're Looking For
- Own CI/CD infrastructure and proactively identify improvements that accelerate engineering velocity.
- Balance technical depth with practical business outcomes and stay current with DevOps practices and emerging technologies.
- Partner with developers to remove build and deployment friction and build solutions that scale with organizational growth.
Professional Qualifications
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and product teams across multiple time zones.
- Create clear, maintainable documentation for systems and processes.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues with creativity, persistence, initiative, and follow-through.
- Mentor junior team members and improve team capabilities.
- Maintain attention to build system integrity and reliability in a distributed team environment.
