Staff Production Engineer

Technical knowledge

• Understand networking and traffic behavior at scale.
• Understand Linux process scheduling, memory, I/O, and network stack behavior.
• Know distributed systems patterns including consistent hashing, leader election, consensus, backpressure, and circuit breakers.
• Build observability through tracing, dashboards, alerting, and useful service level objectives.
• Use Kubernetes in production and understand scheduler-level behavior.
• Profile JVM applications or systems processes and resolve lasting performance issues.
• Use AWS meaningfully in production and participate in serious incident response or on-call operations.

Preferred experience

• Enterprise SaaS production engineering experience is advantageous.
• JVM tuning, garbage collection, and production thread profiling experience are advantageous.
• Multi-region architecture or data store migration experience is advantageous.
• Production eBPF or kernel instrumentation experience is advantageous.
