Responsibilities
Technical leadership on individual projects, working closely with our customers to deliver our WAMPAC solutions including associated training, analysis, workshops and introduction to operational service.
Serve as a key link with our customers – understanding their motivations and requirements, identifying opportunities, and communicating these to colleagues in our Power Systems, Software Engineering, Project Management and Commercial teams.
Contribute to the design and development of core Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS) and Wide Area Protection and Control products – including algorithms; user, functional and performance requirements; simulation and testing.
Carry out analysis and studies as consultancy and services, involving model-based static and dynamic analysis, and measurement-based studies.
Knowledge transfer and support for customers in on-going projects, to promote increased utilisation of products, gather feedback, and identify potential follow-on business.
Technical support for sales process, including pre-sales customer presentations and workshops, pilot projects, and engagement on customer challenges.
Writing technical reports, papers and presentations for conference and journal publications
Up to 25% travel for customer interaction and project meetings
Qualifications/Requirements
MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience, with preferred focus on Power System Operations, Dynamics, Transients, Stability and/or Control.
