Role Overview
SRE / DevOps internship supporting monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization of APIs and cloud infrastructure.
The intern will work with Development, Backend, and DevOps teams on application and infrastructure health, capacity, alerts, and automation.
The role provides exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, and API monitoring tools.
Employment and Schedule
- The position is an internship lasting three months.
- The shift is rotational and includes day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor API metrics including requests per second, latency, throughput, traffic patterns, and error rates.
- Monitor CPU, memory, network, storage, pods, containers, and other infrastructure resource metrics.
- Build and improve Grafana dashboards and configure alerts for performance and resource events.
- Analyze capacity and scaling needs, recommend right-sizing and cost optimization, and coordinate scaling with engineering teams.
- Monitor performance during deployments, releases, and high-traffic periods and assist with performance and availability investigations.
- Automate monitoring, reporting, and alerting with Python, Bash, or other scripting tools.
