Role Overview
Oversee laboratory testing activities for construction and building materials.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, maintain quality systems, manage laboratory staff, and deliver accurate test results within specified timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Building Material Testing Laboratory.
- Oversee testing of cement, concrete, steel, aggregates, bricks, blocks, soil, and other construction materials according to applicable standards.
- Monitor laboratory quality control procedures and maintain testing accuracy.
- Review and approve test reports before issuance.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures and quality management systems.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate laboratory engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate testing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly reports on testing activities, laboratory performance, and resource utilization.
- Support audits, certifications, and accreditation requirements.
