Responsibilities
- Prepare deferred income tax provisions for multiple international affiliates
- Lead the preparation and coordination of Canadian income tax returns
- Support and manage tax audits and inquiries with external advisors and tax authorities
- Own, maintain and improve key tax models including global tax forecast and deferred tax model
- Prepare independently researched tax analyses, reconciliations and working papers
- Help ensure critical tax documentation (transfer pricing, surplus calculations) are kept current
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and workflows
- Contribute to high value projects including acquisition structuring and financing
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally including public accounting at senior/manager level at Big Four or equivalent industry experience with international tax exposure
- Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian income tax and deferred income taxes
- Experience in international tax, transfer pricing, or cross border matters considered a strong asset

- Proven ability to independently manage complex objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
