Role Overview

Location and Work Type

Core Responsibilities

• Mentor Junior and Systems Engineers.
• Perform onsite IT support services and manage support queries through a ticketing system.
• Maintain documentation, follow organizational guidelines, and adhere to strict change control procedures.

Experience and Systems

• At least three years of IT experience in desktop support, systems engineering, or systems administration.
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, desktop and mobile troubleshooting, and the Microsoft 365 stack.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy; Citrix XenApp familiarity is desirable.
• Experience supporting Sophos or similar endpoint threat management products and understanding of VMware or Hyper-V.

Networking and MSP Experience

• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, DMZ, WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience implementing and supporting Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls, Cisco switches, and Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti wireless access points.
• Experience working in an MSP environment.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to balance projects, support tickets, and R&D initiatives.
• Ability to complete physical job requirements, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and working around machinery.
• Financial industry experience, ConnectWise, Azure, security, storage, virtualization, scripting, and infrastructure design experience are desirable.

Technical Contributions

• Support Azure workloads, cybersecurity solutions, mail security gateways, storage and virtualization platforms, and infrastructure automation as applicable.
• Review, recommend, and implement new technologies and contribute to procedures, wiki articles, and build standards.
