Role Overview
The Senior Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.
The position leads and executes surveying activities across engineering and construction projects in the oil and gas sector.
The role collaborates with project managers, site engineers, construction teams, subcontractors, and junior surveyors.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan survey works and conduct field measurements and topographic surveys.
- Set out alignments, levels, and coordinates for civil and mechanical works.
- Prepare and review survey reports, drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with project specifications, industry standards, quality procedures, and HSE requirements.
- Resolve technical issues, verify quantities, and support project progress with multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor junior surveyors, coordinate with subcontractors, and support quality control and audits.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in land and engineering surveying, topographic surveys, construction setting out, and as-built documentation.
- Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, automatic levels, and related data collection software.
- Experience in oil and gas, preferably on civil, mechanical, and infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC region.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of standards, quality-control procedures, and HSE requirements for site works.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and adapt to project schedules and field conditions.
