Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer - Java/Go + Distributed Systems

Role Overview

Role Expectations

• Build and operate high-scale systems.
• Provide service-wide and product-wide architectural guidance and drive technical decisions.
• Establish coding, testing, observability, and CI/CD best practices.
• Maintain high-quality, production-ready services.
• Lead cross-team performance optimization, reliability improvements, and technology adoption initiatives.
• Accelerate feature velocity through collaboration and effective engineering practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within a functional domain.
• Experience with agentic AI systems and orchestration workflows.
• At least 7 years of Java or Go coding experience in a highly distributed, enterprise-scale environment.
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure services.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Strong SQL and data modeling knowledge.
• Strong experience with identity governance, administration, and access management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building CI/CD systems with Kubernetes, web service frameworks, or streaming data infrastructure such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Druid, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Postgres, Redis, Terraform, Ansible, graph databases, and GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of Okta, SAML, OAuth, test automation, Python, and fault-tolerant distributed systems for networking or cloud security products.

• The successful candidate is comfortable with ambiguity and can move between strategy and hands-on execution.
