Role Overview
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems develops mission-enabling solutions for global security and national defense.
The Sr. Staff Embedded Software Engineer will develop software and firmware for critical defense products using Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices.
The role supports the Targeting Business Unit across the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software, firmware, and computing systems software.
- Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
- Complete requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration activities.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and technical support personnel.
- Develop engineering applications and products for mission-critical defense systems.
Basic Qualifications
- A qualifying combination of degree and engineering experience is required: bachelor's degree with 14 or more years, master's degree with 12 or more years, PhD with 10 or more years, or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Object-oriented programming experience in C++.
