Role Summary
Build mission-critical in-vehicle applications for Rivian’s current and future vehicle lines.
Contribute to a fully integrated in-vehicle experience through software engineering and technology innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications for in-vehicle user experiences, focusing on mission-critical user interfaces.
- Create progressive, intuitive, and reliable applications for the Rivian in-vehicle experience.
- Collaborate with UX/UI and Studio teams on interface design and 2D and 3D content integration.
- Test the in-vehicle experience in laboratories and prototype vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
- Research new technologies and interfaces.
- Share technology roadmaps, portfolios, and intellectual property across divisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software development lifecycle experience from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance.
- At least 7 years of experience with one or more of C++, Rust, Java, or Kotlin.
- Experience with Android application frameworks.
- Experience with Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS).
