The engineering team builds product experiences that help customers understand and act on product usage data.
The team develops AI-powered features that turn usage signals into automatic, actionable suggestions.

Day-to-day responsibilities
- Build AI-powered features using product usage data and deliver them end to end.
- Own frontend and backend delivery with a strong lean toward TypeScript, Vue.js, DOM work, and in-browser data capture.
- Validate problems with customers, test prototypes, and shape product scope.
- Define success metrics and iterate using real product usage data.
- Use Cursor and Claude Code as core daily development tools.
- Address latency, hallucination, inconsistent output, usability, and user trust in AI-backed features.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering on ambiguous, fast-moving requirements.
- Improve team quality through code review, mentorship, communication, and unblocking.
Must-haves
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents through production work or personal projects.
- Full-stack engineering experience with a frontend lean, including strong TypeScript and DOM skills.
- At least 3 years of experience building and scaling web applications.
- Strong product judgment and comfort owning ambiguous problems.
- Experience defining success metrics and iterating from usage data.
- Experience engaging customers or end users to validate problems and assess impact.
- Strong software architecture, design principles, and API development knowledge.
- Clear communication skills and ability to mentor and unblock teammates.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working as or alongside a product manager on specifications, roadmaps, or discovery.
- Familiarity with Pendo, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
- Experience designing or running A/B tests or betas.
- Experience with DOM inspection or browser automation.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or tools for LLM agents.
- Familiarity with real-time data pipelines or streaming architectures.
- Accessibility experience.
- Interest in continuous learning and sharing insights.
Location and work model
- The role is based in the Sheffield office.
- Pendo describes its culture as hybrid, with three in-office days per week unless designated remote.
Compensation
- The expected salary range for Sheffield, United Kingdom is £60,000-£78,000.
