About the Team and Role
The Cloud Technology Infrastructure team is seeking a senior engineer for its Cloud Infrastructure Operations group.
The team builds scalable, secure, reusable infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code first methodology.
The role partners across networking, infrastructure, identity management, security, platform, and development teams.
What You Will Do
- Improve cloud service management so development teams can deploy, monitor, and maintain services independently.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring and observability for proactive issue resolution.
- Participate in on-call support for infrastructure incidents, IaC pipeline issues, and cloud-networking escalations.
- Build network observability across Kubernetes, VPCs, routing, peering, and cross-cloud connectivity.
- Develop reusable IaC workflows deployed through CI/CD and support cloud cost optimization.
- Strengthen infrastructure security and promote best practices across development, QA, and operations.
Experience and Qualifications
- 7+ years designing and operating scalable, resilient cloud-native systems.
- Deep public-cloud networking expertise covering VPC design, peering, routing, NAT gateways, and service endpoints.
- Development experience in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with Kubernetes traffic flows, service discovery, DNS, and overlay networks.
- Experience building complex AWS or GCP networks integrated with Kubernetes.
- Advanced experience with Terraform and CI/CD in large-scale cloud environments.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog for monitoring and alerting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- GitLab experience is desired.
Hybrid Work Approach
- Teams generally work in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays flexible for remote work.
- Some roles or offices may require employees to work in the office five days per week.
