Sr Software Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Identify work scope, estimate development tasks, and justify estimates with facts.
• Participate in Agile lifecycle activities, technical discussions, technical designs, and design reviews.
• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code-quality automation.
• Define interfaces between code modules and apply existing technologies to software designs.
• Provide technical leadership for software development in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Work with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements and vision.
• Proactively identify and remove project obstacles on behalf of the team.
• Share knowledge, establish trust, and mentor or delegate work to team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
• At least 6 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, software design patterns, and C# coding principles.
• Hands-on experience with REST web services, .NET, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on web development experience with React or Angular, with React preferred.
• Ability to apply core data structures and algorithms in a programming language.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, estimation, and global collaboration skills.

Technical Expertise

• AWS experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to provide oversight, mentor team members, and delegate work effectively.
