Disney Experiences creates digital experiences for vacation brands including Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, and Disney Vacation Club.

The role sits in the US Parks organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences.

Role and Team

The Edge Security Site Reliability Engineering team supports more than 4,000 teams worldwide during product launches, brand announcements, key events, and ongoing edge security operations.

The team is distributed across multiple locations to support worldwide partners and brands.

The role works with Global Information Security to support compliance, audit requests, and alignment with Disney security standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive a DevSecOps culture among peers and developers.
  • Design, build, and support security policies.
  • Build development pipelines, automate infrastructure and operations, and create monitoring telemetry.
  • Engineer reliable systems and secure company data.
  • Work with web application firewalls, web technologies, and Git-based source control.
  • Support systems, networks, application stability, security, performance, capacity management, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations teams and lead technical projects.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in agile environments.
  • Applied understanding of observability principles.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab, AWS CodeBuild, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
  • Experience with one or more listed procedural programming languages.
  • Skill in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
  • Ability to identify root causes in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security.
  • Experience leading technical projects and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and code.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a specified computing or engineering field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-demand releases and brands.
  • PCI audit and standards experience.
