Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction activities on site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and other mechanical construction activities.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and specifications before and during installation.
- Coordinate mechanical works with civil, architectural, electrical, and other disciplines to avoid clashes.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors for compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and identify technical or quality issues.
- Review RFIs, technical submittals, inspection requests, and material submissions.
- Ensure installations comply with international standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
- Coordinate and witness testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Monitor progress and report delays, technical issues, and site constraints to project leadership.
- Verify quantities and assist with reviewing contractors’ progress claims where required.
- Document inspection and testing activities and coordinate QA/QC actions, including NCRs and corrective actions.
- Review as-built drawings and ensure site changes are properly recorded.
Requirements
- Experience supervising mechanical construction activities on site.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and other mechanical systems.
- Ability to review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
- Ability to coordinate testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Ability to coordinate with QA/QC teams on inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions.
