Role Overview
- The Senior Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex vehicle concerns while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- This role serves as the technical expert within the workshop, providing mentorship to technicians, supporting escalated repairs, and driving operational excellence.
- The position requires advanced diagnostic capabilities, strong EV and automotive systems knowledge, and the ability to lead complex technical investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and vehicle control systems.
- Lead the resolution of complex and repeat repair concerns.
- Conduct inspections and identify root causes using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.
- Support vehicle software updates, calibration, and verification activities.
- Ensure repairs are completed within targeted turnaround times while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to Service Technicians.
- Support technician development through hands on training and knowledge sharing.
- Lead critical repair activities and coordinate resources during major technical issues.
- Act as a technical escalation point for workshop management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, workshop procedures, and quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
