Job Summary

Manages the Intermodal business unit with an account portfolio of over approximately $200 million, primarily focused on large National intermodal shippers. Primary Activities and Responsibilities

Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several Private Asset and National BCO Shipper accounts across the U.S..

Create and execute strategic growth account plans for customers.

Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while pushing each for improved performance or increased business levels.

Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.

Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Operations, and Customer Service.

Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree

5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret volume trends, opportunity datasets, service and financial metrics
  • Developing and executing customer growth strategies
  • Ability to lead complex customer negotiations and finalize mutually beneficial contract terms

  • Ability to handle complex Fortune 500 Accounts
