Sr. Robotics Software Engineer, Controls

Required Qualifications

• At least four years of robotics experience is required.
• The role requires strong classical controls, state-space, LQR, MPC, simulation, system identification, and frequency-domain tuning knowledge.
• Experience implementing real-time control in modern C++ is required.
• Practical state-estimation experience with Kalman, EKF, UKF, or complementary filters is required.
• Direct experience with servo drives, brushless motors, encoders, IMUs, or comparable motion-control hardware is required.
• Candidates must understand latency, jitter, and cross-disciplinary mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced MPC, precision-pointing or gimbal systems, aerospace or defense controls, adaptive or robust control, vision-in-the-loop control, and high-bandwidth sensor pipeline experience are advantageous.
• A master's degree in a related engineering or robotics field is preferred; strong hands-on bachelor's or PhD candidates are also welcomed.

Work Environment

• Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with additional hours during demos and field tests as mission demands require.
• The role includes work with real hardware, field-test events, and range days.
