Role Overview
Inferenz is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing.
The role covers test planning, execution, defect management, API and database testing, and automation framework development.
The engineer will work with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to support reliable software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Define test strategies, scope, timelines, effort, and coverage from requirements and technical documentation.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and UAT testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test data, execution reports, and QA documentation.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and scalable reusable automation frameworks.
- Automate regression and smoke suites to improve test coverage and release efficiency.
- Manage defects through identification, documentation, prioritization, tracking, and verification.
- Perform API testing with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Validate database records, data integrity, data flow, and backend processes using SQL.
- Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, release validation, code reviews, and technical discussions.
