Sr. Program Manager

VG Systems, LLC is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead and manage a large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) contract.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of leadership, technical, managerial, and business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional performance on enterprise-level government programs.

The Program Manager will provide direction to program staff, ensure compliance with PWS requirements, and partner closely with Government stakeholders to achieve mission success.

• Provide executive-level leadership and direction for contract execution to ensure mission, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
• Oversee program operations, including resource allocation, performance management, and risk mitigation.
• Lead, mentor, and guide management and technical teams supporting the contract.
• Hire, develop, and retain high-performing staff; drive performance evaluations and corrective actions when needed.
• Direct development of program deliverables, status reports, briefings, and contract artifacts.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Government leadership; foster strong customer relationships.
• Address complex challenges through strategic thinking and decisive action.
• Ensure program activities comply with contract, regulatory, and corporate policies.

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in any discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience managing Government contracts, particularly DoD programs, with substantive involvement in stakeholder engagement, PWS execution, and oversight of program teams.
• Master’s degree (MA/MS) or PhD with 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for the experience requirement.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance at time of hire with the ability to maintain eligibility.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills aligned with high-stakes DoD environments.
